About the Piece:

My River Runs to Thee is composed for solo guitar. I drew inspiration from Emily Dickson’s poem My river runs to thee in the way the kinetic energy and rhythmic flow of the text impacts the musical impulses and gesture. Besides, I also apply scordatura and various types of harmonics experiment throughout the piece.
