About the Piece:

Faust is the protagonist of a classic German legend; a highly successful scholar but he was dissatisfied with his life and made a deal with a devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. I use the Chinese-translated version of Goethe's Dedication as lyrics to compose this work, as a way to communicate literature and philosophical concerns.
